What a March....

What a March .. Unfortunately at the beginning of march my Paint The tow red equipment was taken from my garage. I had to restock all my stuff Easels, Brushes Pallets, Fabric, Paper,Trimmings. To say the least was a very stressful time as I had an two events coming up in two weeks after this happened. Anyway after rushing around and help from my friend and family I managed to restock 80% of my stock that I required for my next two events. I attended the Leigh on Mendip Active living. I got this event buy contacting all the Active living groups in the area. I was informed it was a large group to expect 25 people participating. I had brought along a close friend of mine to help out as the window was short to set up. We unpacked all the stock and was ready just in time. This was the largest event I had done . I went round introducing myself to the group and showed the ideas folders. Gave them a chat about what they could do. The soon found there artist flar and the event was in full swing with lots of different ides being created. The buzz was brilliant. The time soon passed and was time to pack up . They kindly provided us with lunch which was delicious. Whilst sitting chatting to all the members I felt a great satisfaction as they all seemed really happy and relaxed and some proud that they had created there peace of Art. Just wish I could capture the atmosphere to show other people as finding it hard to market my events as people hear the word “Art” and kind of panic. Its trying to show that anyone with any ability can produce something as there are ideas and guideline for all the ideas...

Please see pictures of the amazing creation

So what's all this pin interest about

So, the social media adventure with 'Paint the town' continues.. The next step, Pinterest. After a good browse around Pinterest it seems a perfect fit my business and a great outlet for the pictures I have to share (or Pin). So I have created an account and looked though my event photos and the pieces of art created and it brings real satisfaction to be able to share the work and the memories. Our events have helped bring a variety of people together at different locations with the aim to create a piece of art as a gift or for the home. I have created a selection of boards from some of our different events from last year and posted some photos onto my Pinterest boards.

My next quest is to see how to get followers and improve my knowledge on using Pinterest! so if there is any help or advice out there it will be greatly appreciated.

Please see my Pinterest board and follow for more pins ;)

New years resolution for Paint The Town red

Let me apologise to start with for the lack of blogs over the Christmas period (lets blame the kids and family shall we) ... new years resolution to self..... write more blogs. Hope you all had a great Christmas and new year. I certainly did, and in the rare quite moments I did some reflecting on what I hope to get out of Paint the Town red and the direction it should go in 2015.
Things have changed for me at home, my two year old has started nursery two days a week so has given me extra time to concentrate on the business. I am hoping to generate a few extra events with Active living groups around the South West. I attended an Active living group in November last year and it turned out to be a great success. I found even the most non-artistic and unimaginative individual soon relaxed and gave it a go. It turned out to be great fun and satisfactory for them , and as it turns out for me. It too gave the artistic amongst the group a chance to indulge themselves in a way that just can't be done at home, so much that they have re-booked for January. With their recommendation It have decided to approach other Active living groups and hopefully their reactions will be as positive.
Please see below a few pictures from the Beckington Active Living group event.

My First Blog ever ;)

This is my first blog so is all pretty new to me but I just had to share some of the wonderful pieces of art that have been created by guests at my recent 'Paint the town red' events . I have recently started my own business based in Frome, Somerset called 'Paint the Town Red'. We host unique art and craft based events and parties where guests can create a piece of art on canvas to take home with you or to give as a gift, in a relaxed fun party enviroment. Enjoy a glass wine (or cocktail) at the fully stocked bar whilst releasing your inner Picasso or try something new from our wide range of ideas supplied. You can browse through our 'ideas' folders for inspiration as we offer lots of different mediums such as Paints, Fabrics, printed designer paper, photo transfers, frames and much much more, all available on site. I have got stuck into some Art projects myself at a few of the events I have hosted which just goes to prove the uniqueness of our parties, that you really really don't have to be any good at all at art or creative as plenty of ideas, advice and instruction is provided.

Please see a selection of a few pieces of work that has been created at different events
